This is our exciting new scheme for Key Stage 2 students. It aims to excite, inspire and engage them in Science. Students are issued with a passport booklet in which they will collect stamps as a reward for taking part in science activities. They can be awarded stamps for taking part in activities individually, as a class or with their parents/guardian and families.

SCIENCE ACTIVITIES
Many of the activities can be carried out in school or at home:
• Conducting experiments including CREST * Investigator activities.
• Listening to presentations or taking part in workshops.
• Reading science books.
• Researching science on the internet.
• Watching science programmes on TV.

An extensive range of museums and other attractions are also included in the scheme:

Next year we will have even more organisations involved.

ISSUING STAMPS
Every participating school will be issued with a stamp and ink pad set. When students complete each section in their passport, at home or at school, they can be rewarded with a stamp. Students will receive a stamp at the science attractions when they correctly answer questions presented to them in their passport.

Students who collect a set number of stamps in their passport will be eligible to attend a graduation ceremony. Graduands of this years scheme attended the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool for their Graduation.

REGISTRATION
The scheme will commence in January 2009. To register your school please contact Janet Greig.
